Chandler Oaks Elementary

Our 1st grade Cheetahs wrapped up their "Sharing the Planet" unit by focusing on the mighty Saguaro cactus! Through research and scale-model math, students discovered how this one plant supports an entire system of life. They mapped out habitats and designed field guides to show exactly how desert animals depend on the Saguaro to survive.

The highlight? Our student-led tours where the kids became Saguaro experts! They are currently busy researching the "Wonder Questions" left by our guests. Stay tuned for their expert answers!
